International Dart Organisation
The International Dart Association (IDA) could be described as a worldwide sailing club specifically for owners of Dart 18 sailboats and people interested in the Dart 18. Like most sailing clubs it is run by volunteers.
The objects of the IDA are to promote and develop the interests of Dart 18 catamaran owners and sailors throughout the World:
- to encourage and foster the enjoyment and fellowship of recreational catamaran sailing.
- to encourage and coordinate national and international events in the class.
- to coordinate and manage the affairs of the class.
- to maintain the class rules and production one-design character of the Dart catamaran.
- to ensure that the class retains its "International" status by complying with the criteria adopted by the ISAF.
- to introduce the class to new countries.
- to produce a website containing information about the class and the activities of the IDA for Dart 18 sailors throughout the world.
