To promote mixed sailing on Multihulls as a new discipline in Olympic Sailing a new website is lunched: www.mixedsailing.org

In mid November 2010 the council members of the International Sailing Federation ISAF voted in favor for a new Olympic Sailing Discipline.
Mixed Sailing (women and men on one boat) for multihull and double handed dinghy (470 class). This is provisory and needs a final confirmation in May 2011 at ISAF conference in St. Petersburg.

The multihull community believes mixed sailing is a great idea and with this website they want to promote mixed sailing on multihulls as best as possible.

Mixed sailing comes close to Dart18 sailing so IDA is very happy with this initiative. We will follow the discussions on mixed sailing on multihulls at the Olympics!!

From Augu5 till August 28 the 2011 French Nationals will take place in La Rochelle. A great sailing venue!!

From July 2nd till July 4th the Italian Nationals 2010 were organised by Circolo Nautico Donoratio. 21 teams sailed 7 races. Teams came from Italy and France so it was a real International event. IDA is very happy to see these numbers of Dart sailors in Italy again!

The event was won by the team: Enrico Bertazzoli and Francesca Mungiguerra from Italy. Congratulations!

From July 15 till july 17 2011 the Dutch Nationals will be held in The Hague on the North Sea. A perfect location for a last training for the Dart18 2011 Worlds in Knokke!!

To find the location for the Dutch Nationals on July 15th till July 17th 2011 do the following:

Put in your Car GPS system: DUIVELANDSESTRAAT 75, Den Haag(you find here café Duinzicht). On the opposite site of the street from the café you take the footpath into the dunes. At Strandafslag 10 you enter the beach and go left.
You can bring your boat to this footpath on Thursday July 14th from 20.00 hours or on Friday July 15th from 8.30 hours till 10.00 hours. From here your trailer and boat will be brought to the beach with a tractor. Make sure you make 10.00 hours on July 15th, otherwise your boat with trailer cannot be placed on the beach.

A diner will be arrranged on friday and saturday evening! The Dutch Dart Association has arranged a place to park trailor/Darts between the Dutch Nationals and the Worlds in The Hague.

So no reason not to come!! See you all on the beach!!

Dear Dart 18 sailors!

A very good 2010 with loads of Dart sailing!

To see were you can race great Dart events in 2010 go to the REGATTAS button on this website. Almost all Dart 18 Nationals and open international events are in the list. If you miss an event, just let us know and we will add it.
